Q1 2021 Match 3 Games Performance on iOS in Brazil: A Sensor Tower Analysis

As the first quarter of 2021 has wrapped up, it's time to take a look at the performance of the top Match 3 games on the iOS platform in Brazil. Sensor Tower has provided a comprehensive analysis of these popular apps, which have continued to entertain and engage users across the country.

Starting with Candy Crush Saga, King's leading title, we saw a peak in revenue during the last week of March, reaching $70.8K. Downloads for the game showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting at around 22.7K in the last week of December and ending at approximately 15.1K by March's end. Weekly active users fluctuated, with a notable increase to around 193.7K in late January, before settling at about 177.1K in the final week of March.

Playrix's Gardenscapes also had a strong quarter, with revenue seeing a substantial rise to $57.1K in late January. Downloads spiked in early March, reaching upwards of 41.4K, but experienced a downtrend to roughly 12.9K by March 29. The game's active users remained above 126K throughout the quarter, peaking at around 134.9K in early March.

Another Playrix game, Homescapes, showed a more consistent revenue stream, with the highest weekly revenue reaching $37K in mid-February. The game's downloads hit a high of 58K in early March, though this decreased to about 20.3K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a high of 205.5K, also in early March.

Magic Tavern, Inc.'s Project Makeover had an impressive start to the quarter with downloads at 162.1K in late December, but this number had decreased to 27K by the quarter's close. Active user counts remained relatively stable, starting at 160.3K and ending at around 170K.

Lastly, Playrix's Fishdom showed consistent revenue, peaking at $24.4K in early March. Downloads saw a dramatic increase in the same period, with a high of 48.4K, but dropped to approximately 4.5K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight upward trend, finishing the quarter with around 45.6K weekly active users.
